Your adventure begins and ends in Kigali, combining scenic landscapes, rich biodiversity, and immersive primate experiences.
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and briefed before beginning your journey to Volcanoes National Park.
Scenic drive through Rwanda’s rolling hills and countryside, pass banana plantations and picturesque villages and approx. 3-hour transfer to the park.
On arrival, check in at your lodge located near the park.

After an early breakfast, transfer to the Kinigi park headquarters for briefing and group allocation.
Your gorilla trekking adventure begins:
Trek through dense rainforest with expert ranger guides, track one of Rwanda’s habituated mountain gorilla families, trek duration: 2–6 hours depending on gorilla movement and spend one unforgettable hour observing gorillas in their natural habitat.
After the trek, return to the lodge to relax.

After breakfast, return to the park headquarters for your second primate experience.
Trek to see endangered golden monkeys, easier trek (approx. 1–2 hours), observe their playful behavior and social interactions and spend one hour with the monkeys.
Golden monkeys are rare and found only in the Virunga region, making this a truly unique experience.
Return to the lodge for relaxation.

After breakfast, depart for Kigali.
Enjoy a scenic drive back to the city, lunch in Kigali (optional depending on schedule) and transfer to Kigali International Airport for your outbound flight.
